Rarities and Artifacts
Tools are the core of how Delvers survive Halcyon’s descent. Each Tool is a modular piece of machinery—weapon augmentations, mechanical systems, logic cores, or experimental devices—that alters how a hero attacks, defends, or uses their abilities. Tools are equipped to characters between layers, allowing players to shape entirely different builds even with the same heroes.
Tools come in multiple rarities, from common industrial components to rare and powerful upgrades that dramatically change how abilities function. Some enhance raw performance—damage, defenses, or cooldowns—while others rewrite behavior entirely, adding new effects, synergies, or conditional triggers. The right Tool can turn a straightforward hero into something unexpected.
At the highest level, specialized Tools form Gear Sets, unlocking massive bonuses when combined, while ultra-rare Artifacts exist outside the normal system—permanent enhancements that never decay and subtly bend the rules of progression. Together, Tools define a Delver’s strategy, ensuring that no two descents into Halcyon ever play the same way.
